Photography – Heidi Museum of Modern Art

After a filling meal at Tao’s Restaurant, we went for a short stroll around Heidi Museum of Modern Art and surrounding gardens to walk off the calories. For those of you who haven’t been there, it’s a fantastic location for wedding photography and photography in general. Of course, it’s also where Cafe Vue is located which is always full.

When you wander through their gardens you will find many statues and trees. The Autumn leaves were beautiful. I had an urge to lie on the ground and embrace those dried red leaves but I refrained. Someone will think I’m crazy…

Still, I took many photos that day, trying to capture the moment of stillness…of reminiscence. Of wilting life, which is necessary for new beginnings.

Their veggie patch is a bit overgrown but I still loved it in there. There were kids chatting amongst themselves, trying to identify what the veggies were. One day I will own a veggie patch like this. One day…

It wasn’t the greatest weather that day but I like the feeling overcast days give. Thankfully it didn’t rain.

I don’t often get the chance to go out and photography things but after that day, I feel like I should make it a regular event. Perhaps you might see more photography locations around Melbourne some time.

Do you know of any good spots that are great for photography? If you do, I’d love to hear about it!

Beautiful photos – and I love your comment about life wilting to give way to new beginnings! I love Heide and your post reminds me i haven’t been there for ages. One of my favourite places for photos is the Fitzroy Gardens.
